I’m so excited you found us and wanted to share our story with you.

My name is Tien Nguyen Balan and I’m the co-owner of Zazen West Chester and Zazen Beauty in West Chester, PA. We have 2 locations next to each other: One for our Salon Services and a Separate building for our Lash & Microblading Training Classes.

I’m married to my Husband, Chris, and a mother of 2 beautiful boys – Kai and Theo.

I left my corporate Job at CBS News in Philly many years ago to start Zazen because I was tired of smelling all those toxic fumes in traditional salons.

I wanted to offer something more healthier, safer for moms and kids, and just better overall in customer service.

I’m obsessed with making people feel beautiful and my expertise/speciality is in Eyelash Extensions and Microblading Eyebrows.

I’ve done over three thousand Clients for both Lash Extensions and Microblading with Clients that travel up to 3 hours to come see us.

In addition, I also teach beauty professionals how to Learn Lash Extension and Microblading with our Training Programs. We’ve taught over 300 Sold out classes and over 2000 students and are one of the largest Training Centers in the Northeast.

I was looking to get my eyebrows microbladed for years but could not find a place I felt comfortable with. I heard about zazen spa from a friend and I could not be happier with the results. I had my brows done by Tien. She is very experienced and recommended nanoblading based on my skin type and current brows. She was so precise in my brow mapping. The procedure itself was not painful and I nearly fell asleep at some point. I love the results. It looks so natural. I already have had many compliments on how it turned out. They also provide excellent after care instructions and a free touchup in a couple of weeks. Highly recommend this place for brows!!
